IGP has not been asked to step down

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Speaking in Parliament today, (September 20) Deputy Minister of Law & Order Nalin Bandara Jayamaha refuted rumours regarding the IGP. The Deputy Minister stated that the President nor the PM has instructed the IGP to step down within 2 weeks. Nalin Bandara made this statement in response to a question raised by MP Kanaka Herath.
