Silent vigil in Colombo in support of Sri Lankan arrested in Sydney

Colombo (News1st) – A silent vigil was held at the Independence square in Colombo on Tuesday (Sept 18) in support of Mohamed Kamer Nilar Nizamdeen who has been detained on terrorism-related charges in Sydney.

Family members gathered today at the independence square and held a silent vigil seeking immediate justice for him.

The parents and family members have stated that they are unable to contact their son who has been imprisoned

They are requesting the authorities to hold an Extensive and accurate investigation on this matter.

Kamer Nilar Nizamdeen was arrested on the August 30th.
