Colombo (News1st): The hearing of the contempt of court case against Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Vigneswaran and Northern Province Ministers Ananthi Sasitharan and P. Sivanesan was postponed to 16th of October for further deliberations. On the 29th of June, the Appeal Court issued an interim injunction restraining Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Vigneswaran from removing Provincial Minister of Transport and Fisheries, B. Denishwaran from his post, and this order was extended to 09th of October. President's Counsel S. Kanageswaran, appearing for the Chief Minister said, his client had already filed an appeal with the Supreme Court against the interim injunction order and therefore complaint on contempt of court cannot be legally taken up at the Court of Appeal.
