Colombo (News1st): A decision has been reached to increase bus fares by 4% with effect from midnight tomorrow (September 20).

The announcement was made by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva.

The decision was made following discussions held with the bus associations this afternoon. The Minister added that no change will be made to the minimum fare of Rs. 12.
