Explosives seized from abandoned house in Mawathagama

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Explosives have been found in an abandoned house in Wal Inguruwaththa, Mawathagama. The house was raided by the Mawathagama Police yesterday (September 15). Five anti-aircraft bullets, two hand grenades, seven T-56 bullets, and 1 SLR bullet that had been found in the abandoned house had also been seized by the police. A former Army officer who was known to frequent the site has been arrested.  The Mawathagama Police are conducting further investigations.
