COLOMBO (News 1st) – The bodies of two males have been discovered inside a cave in a forest in Senlenadi, Ragala.

Police sources confirmed the bodies of the deceased have been identified as Sellaiyya Ashok Kumar of Senlenaadi Watta, Ragala and Maheshwaran Rathneshwaran of Halganoya,  31 and 29 years of age.

The two deceased individuals left their residences yesterday to engage in poaching. The police added that a dead dog was also discovered along with the bodies of the two males inside the cave.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Police revealed the deceased had released smoke into the cave and then gone inside it.

A magisterial inquiry is underway as well as the Ragala Police investigation of the case.
