UNP not connected to threats against the President

Colombo (News1st): State Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Ajith P. Perera commented about the alleged threats levelled against the President and Former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He spoke about this when a journalist raised concerns about a statement made by a DIG blaming the UNP for threats levelled against the President and Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The state minister noted that the UNP does not want to do something like that and it is not a part of their culture. He added that if a member of the Police has done something wrong or has conspired to do something wrong, an investigation should be conducted and they should be brought before the law.
