Lack of drinking water affects over 208,000

Colombo (News1sr): The Disaster Management Center statee more than 208,000 people have been affected by the shortage of drinking water as a result of salt water being mixed in the water supply from the Kalu Ganga. Its Deputy Director attached to the Kalutara District Saaliya Dayas said water was being supplied to the affected using bowsers. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board Alaudeen Ansar said special measures will be implemented to bring the situation in Kalu Ganga under control.
