Mahendran will be repatriated soon - Dep. Min. Ranjan

Colombo (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment Ranjan Ramanayake arrived at the Commission to investigate allegations of Bribery and corruption on Thursday (September 13). The Deputy Minister arrived at the commission to provide a statement regarding a complaint, which alleged that a number of MPs benefitted from Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. Speaking to the media after providing a statement noted that this was the first time that 3 members of the ruling party arrived at the commission in order to provide statements regarding an inquiry by the commission. He went on to state that the only person left to arrest now is Arjuna Mahendran, who is in Singapore adding that the CID has taken steps to issue warrants against him. Ramanayake believes that Mahendran will be repatriated very soon.
