PM Wickremesinghe meets Vietnamese Premier

Colombo (News1st): Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who is on an official visit to Vietnam met with Vietnamese Premier Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday (September 11). Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to attend the Economic Forum. The premier and the Sri Lankan delegation were welcomed by the Minister of Information and Communications Gyen Man Hung. Vietnam has requested for Sri Lanka's assistance in holding the United Nations International Vesak Festival which is to be held in Vietnam next May. The Prime Minister has also stressed the importance of appointing a Joint Committee to inquire into the historic relationship between the two nations.
