Colombo (News1st): Lieutenant Commander Chandana Prasad Hettiarachchi of the Sri Lanka Navy who was arrested in connection to the abduction and forced disappearance of 11 youth was further remanded till the 26th of September by Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
The CID informed court today that Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne who is expected to provide a statement on the matter is to return to the Island on the 19th following an overseas visit.
CID said a statement will be recorded from him upon his return and it will be produced in court.
