COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Coconut Cultivation Board has taken a decision to enforce the law on the sale of bottled coconut oil.
This decision has been taken to reduce the supply of coconut oil with low standards.
Chairman of the Coconut Cultivation Board, Kapila Yakandawala stated that measures have been taken to enter into an agreement with the Consumer Affairs Authority in this regard.
The Chairman also added that while awareness would be created about this law among the coconut oil producers immediately and it will be enforced within three months.
