Chinese national arrested with stock of sea horses and sea leeches

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 27 year old Chinese national has been arrested in Kimbulapitiya, Negombo for the possession of Sea leeches and Seahorses. A spokesperson for the police stated that the suspect was in possession of 05kg of dried seahorses and 33kg of dried sea leeches. It was also revealed that the suspect had made preparations to send the contraband overseas. The suspect is due to be presented before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today (September 12).
