CBSL to analyse rupee depreciation

Colombo (News 1st) - The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has begun a study into the depreciation of the rupee. A spokesperson said that the study was being conducted by the International Operations Department. The study will also analyze the performance of other currencies against the US Dollar. She pointed out that the rupee devaluation against the US dollar was due to market forces. She added that this situation was true, not just for Sri Lanka, but for several other countries as well.
