Colombo (News 1st) - Former Minister S. B. Dissanayake speaking at a media briefing today (September 06) expressed his views on fraud and corruption in the country.
S. B. Dissanayake stated that despite President Maithripala Sirisena's statements corruption continues to take place under the leadership of Ranil Wickremesinghe and that it is greater than ever before.
He stated that they have been told that the former CBSL Governor Arjuna Mahendran is receiving diplomatic protection in Singapore. Explaining his statement, S.B. Dissanayake noted that the tenure of the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Singapore came to an end, but he was given a service extension so that Arjuna Mahendran can be protected.
The former Minister stated that if this statement is wrong, then the Prime Minister can deny it. He further stated that recently the PM travelled to England to play the role of the father for one of Arjuna Mahendran's children at a wedding.
