A peaceful JO rally would have no interruption

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Joint Opposition issued a notice that their protest themed "Janabalaya Colombata" will be starting from 2.00 pm today (September 05). Minister of Law and Order, Ranjith Maddumabandara states that there will be no interruption to carry out a protest for any political party in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, DIG Ajith Rohana states that if the public undergoes any trouble due to the protest that necessary legal actions would be implemented according to the Police Ordinance and in addition that the STF will be deployed if damages are been made to the public property. The DIG also added that the police force has been deployed as usual for security purposes.
