SLTB southern province workers continue strike

Colombo (News1st) - Workers attached to the Southern province depots of the SLTB are continuing their trade union action demanding higher salaries. The trade union action began on the 28th of August. A special discussion is scheduled to take place this afternoon between the SLTB workers and subject minister Nimal Siripala de Silva. SLTB Chairman Ramal Siriwardene is also scheduled to be present at the occasion. Discussions between the SLTB chairman and the SLTB workers on Monday (Sept 3) proved to be futile.
