COLOMBO (News 1st) - Today marks the 152nd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Police Force. Religious activities were held in Colombo to mark the occasion. Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundra and several other dignitaries attended the event.
Addressing the occasion, the IGP stated that the Police force hopes to carry out their services as always for the betterment of the people and to ensure national security. He also added that they will dedicate themselves to eradicating crime and various other irregularities from the country.
DIG Traffic Ajith Rohana appearing on Newsfirst Newsline this morning (September 03) announced that the Police hopes to introduce a new electronic payment system to pay sport fined for offences such as driving without seatbelts, speeding, and using mobile phones while driving.
