Wheat flour prices increased

Colombo (News1st) - The all-island bakery owners association states that they will engage in discussions to increase the price of bakery products due to the increase in wheat flour prices which came into effect last night. The price of 1kg of wheat flour produced by Prima increased from Rs 95 to Rs 100 with effect from midnight yesterday (Aug 31). Prima cited changes in taxes and the decrease in the value of the rupee as their reasons for increasing the price of flour.
