Heroin worth over Rs 8.8mn taken into custody

Colombo (News1st) - One suspect was arrested in Kadawatha on Friday (Aug 31st) with a stock of heroin worth over Rs. 8.8mn.
A total of 740.145 grams of heroin was discovered in the suspect's possession.
The police anti-narcotics bureau made the arrest last night as the suspect was transporting the drugs on a motorbike. The Police also took into custody a total of Rs. 233,920 that was in the suspect's possession.
