Indian gold smuggler arrested at BIA

Colombo (News1st): An Indian national was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department at the Bandaranaike International Airport today (August 31). The 48-year-old suspect was arrested while attempting to smuggle 20 kg of gold worth Rs. 17 million into the Country. The suspect had arrived in the country from Dubai. The CID is conducting further investigations.
