Sri Lanka navy rescues 6 Indian fishermen

Colombo (News1st) - Six Indian fishermen who were drowning in Sri Lankan territorial waters were rescued by Sri Lanka Navy yesterday. The Indian fishermen were rescued by a Fast Gun Boat attached to the Northern Naval command which was on patrol. The vessel had rescued the fishermen 15 nautical miles off the Kovillan Point lighthouse. After providing basic first aid and medicine the rescued fishermen were handed over to the KKS Police.
