14 tonnes of illegal tobacco seized by customs at Colombo Harbor

COLOMBO (News1st) - Customs seized 14 Tonnes of Tobacco illegally imported to the country from Tuticorin, India.
Customs spokesperson Sunil Jayaratne stated that the two freight containers, in which the illegal tobacco was stored, reached the Colombo Harbor a week ago.
The 14 Tonnes of Tobacco is valued at over Rs. 10 Million. Three suspects, all resident of Colombo, have been arrested by the authorities.
