CAUGHT IN THE ACT : Vandals destroy Anamaduwa restaurant

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A group who forcibly entered a restaurant in Andigama, Anamaduwa yesterday (August 18) vandalised the restaurant before fleeing the scene. The restaurant was opened just a year ago. According to the owner, a person had been forcibly purchasing food on credit from the restaurant for some time. He added that the attack was carried out by a group who came to the restaurant with this person. The owner said the person in question was known as Kasippu Nihal The damages caused by the attack has been estimated to be over Rs. 2.5 Million. However, even though a complaint has been lodged at the Anamaduwa Police no suspects have been taken into custody until now.
