Marine Environment Protection Authority submits a report on clinical waste in Puttlam

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A report on the clinical waste that washed up on the coast of Puttalam has been submitted to the Secretary of the Ministry of Environment by the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA). Its General Manager Pradeep Kumara said the report which was handed in today will then be handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that they could take steps to inform the Indian Government. The Marine Environment Protection Authority has already launched a program to clean up the waste that has piled up along the coastline.
