Forest dept. to plant 2 million saplings within the year

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Forest Conservation plans on planting around 2 million saplings within the year. Director general of the Department, Anura Hathurusinghe noted that they have undertaken this plan in accordance with the President's instructions. Hathurusinghe also noted that their work has become increasingly difficult due to the forest fires caused by various individuals.
