Prices of 26 medicines to be reduced

Colombo (News 1st) - Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne stated that measures will be taken to reduce the prices of another 26 medicines. He also stated that Cancer-related medicines are already being controlled. The government gets a profit of Rs. 7.7Bn at private hospitals for around 40 medicines and treatment services are being controlled. The Minister was addressing the Kalutara District Conference of the All Island Private Osu Sala Owners.
