70,000 pills taken into custody

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A couple has been arrested in Settikulam, Mankulam area while in possession of 70,000 pills. A spokesperson to the Police media unit said the officers of Jaffna divisional crime unit arrested the couple while they were travelling by a vehicle. The arrested suspects are residents of Matale and Kelaniya and are aged 24 and 18 respectively. They will be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate court today (August 11).
