SLTB steps up bus services due to train strike

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Transport Commission (NTC) stated sufficient buses have been allocated to fulfill transport needs due to the ongoing train strikes. Chairman of the NTC M. A. P. Hemachandra stated that such a decision was taken in order to provide a relief for the passengers facing difficulties due to the strike. 6000 buses have been deployed for the passengers by the Sri Lanka Transport Board. Deputy General Manager of the SLTB T. Chandrasiri stated that 1350 buses have been deployed from the suburbs of Colombo to transport passengers.
