COLOMBO (News 1st) - Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe stated in Parliament today (August 08) that Fuel prices are expected to change in the near future due to the influence of the U.S in the crude oil trading sector of Iran. Sri Lanka imports crude oil from Iran as well. U.S introduced new sanctions on Tuesday (August 07) against Iran due to the Nuclear deal. President Trump has stated anyone doing business with Iran won't be doing business with the United States. From November, Washington is expected to target Iran’s petroleum sector.
