Sri Lanka Navy arrests 21 illegal immigrants

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Navy has taken into custody 21 illegal immigrants onboard a trawler plying in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Sri Lanka. The arrest had been made by Navy personnel attached to the Fast Attack Craft belonging to the Western Naval Command 117 nautical miles off Chilaw. The arrested group includes 19 men and 2 women. The suspects have been handed over to the Colombo harbour Police for processing.
