Over 60 acres destroyed by Imbulpe wild fire

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The fire that erupted on the Parawiyangala mountain in Imbulpe, Balangoda is continuing to spread according to the Divisional Secretary of Imbulpe. He said that attempts to control the fire since last night (July 29) have been unsuccessful and that over 60 acres had already been destroyed by the fire. The Divisional secretary said that six suspects have been arrested on charges of beginning the fire. The Parawiyangala mountain in Imbulpe is known as "Adara Kanda" among the university students of Sri Lanka.
