UPDATE : Two suspects of ATM robbery interrogated

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The police have identified the vehicle used by the suspects who robbed over 10 million rupees in Naragala Bulathsinghala. The money was to be deposited at ATMs by a private firm. A security official who was part of the team transporting the money has been arrested on charges of aiding and abetting the robbery. It was revealed that the security officer was not in possession of his firearm that he should have been carrying at the time. The driver of the van that was transporting the money was also arrested. According to the Police both suspects are being questioned under detention orders. Three police teams have been deployed to arrest the suspects and the Police special task force has also been deployed to investigate the crime.
