New start for Welikada prison intelligence unit

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Prisons has decided to employ officers from two other prisons as officers of the Intelligence Unit at the Welikada Prison. According to a senior official at the Department, this decision was made after the Intelligence Unit at the Welikada Prison was dissolved. The new team for the Intelligence Unit comprises of officers from the Colombo Magazine Prison and the Colombo Remand Prison.
