Water cut for Colombo from 9pm

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A spokesperson for the National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that the water supply to several areas in Colombo will be interrupted for 9 hours from 9 PM tonight to 6 AM tomorrow. (July 29) The water cut is due to an urgent repair on the main pipeline supplying water from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant to Dehiwala. Accordingly, the water supply will be interrupted in the areas of Wellawatte, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Kalubowila, Nedimala and Nugegoda. The Water Board noted, in addition to these areas, water will be supplied at low-pressure to areas in Colombo 5, Royal Park, Lake Garden, Bandaranayakapura, Rajagiriya, and Mulleriyawa.
