Over 279,000 people affected by dry weather conditions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Disaster Management Centre says, nine districts have been affected due to the prevailing dry weather conditions. Assistant Director at the Centre, Pradeep Kodippili said more than 279,000 people have been affected as a result. Kodippili further noted that the necessary steps have been taken to distribute water, to areas where there is a lack of drinking water.
