Uva and Eastern provinces to experience heavy rain

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology says, showers or thundershowers could be expected in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts after 2.00 pm today (July 26th). Issuing a weather advisory, the Department notes, fairly heavy falls of about 50 MM could be expected at some places in the Uva and Eastern provinces. Several spells of showers are also expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and light showers are expected in Kurunegala, Galle and Matara districts.
