Capital punishment will be implemented - President

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - President Maithripala Sirisena addressing an event in Polonnaruwa said the capital punishment will be implemented. The President noted that he was reading the this Sunday's news papers and came across a headline which stated that the Government would be rolling back the decision to implement capital punishment While noting that this was completely false, the President reiterated that Capital punishment would be implemented against those involved in the drug trade.
