Suspects linked to Welikada prison riot case, further remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former OIC of the Police Narcotics Bureau, Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa and Former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa who were arrested in connection with the 2012 Welikada Prison Riots have been further remanded until the 31st of this month. They were further remanded when they were produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage on Tuesday (July 17).
