High Court allows Basil Rajapaksa to fly to USA

Colombo (News1st) :  The Colombo High Court has granted permission for former minister Basil Rajapaksa to travel to USA for medical treatment. The order issued by High Court Judge A.A.R. Heiynathuduwa grants permission for Basil Rajapaksa to travel overseas from the 10th of August to the 10th of November. Rajapaksa was barred from overseas travel due to his involvement in infamous GI pipe case where over 36.5 million rupees was allegedly spent by the state for political activities.
