China to acquire 1500 acres from Batticaloa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Addressing a media briefing in Batticaloa today, TNA Parliamentarian Sathasivam Viyalanderan stated that they have received information that a 1500 acre plot of land in the Paduwankarai area is to be given to China. He noted that they are investigating the information they had received and went on to note that at present the Department of Wildlife is in the process of acquiring lands from the area citing various reasons.
