Heroin smuggler arrested at Central Mail Exchange

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A suspect in possession of 237 grams of heroin worth Rs. 3 million has been arrested by the Customs at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo. Customs Director and Media Spokesman Sunil Jayaratne said two other suspects were also arrested based on the information obtained through the interrogation of the first suspect. The suspects are residents of Minuwangoda and Colombo. Sunil Jayarathne said the suspects and the stock of heroin have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
