Forensic audit into bond issuances

Colombo (News1st) : The Central Bank of Sri Lanka noted that they are calling for applications from Auditing firms to conduct a forensic audit of the controversial bond issuances. Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy noted that the CBSL has already received applications from 5 companies. He noted that a committee will be appointed to carry out the audit and that the team will be headed by a foreign audit specialist. The governor noted that they will continue to accept applications till the 25th of this month from local and foreign companies.
