Couple injured due to a shooting at Jampatta street

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 50-year-old woman and her husband of 58 years had been severely injured following a shooting that had taken place at around 8.15 pm yesterday (July 8). The incident had taken place in the area of Jampatta street, Colombo 13. Area residents revealed that the motive behind the shooting was because the injured couple was to be a witness for an incident that had occurred on the 17th of last month, during which a person named Ganesh had sustained injuries following a shooting. Police investigations regarding the incident are currently underway
