Items stolen from safe at State Bank

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A large sum of cash and jewellery have been stolen from several safes at a state bank in Thalawa Anuradhapura. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that the thieves had entered the bank by breaching the back door. They had then cut open several safes to steal the cash and jewellery. Investigations are currently underway.
