CBK's economic experts trying to run the country - Ravi Karunanayake

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Speaking to the media following an event in Colombo MP Ravi Karunanayake commented on the current situation of the United National Party. Karunanayake stated that it is the same group of so-called experts from Chandrika Kumaratunge's government in 2000 that tries to run the country's economy at present. The UNP parliamentarian added that two or three of them who steered the country towards a negative economy back then continue to operate openly. He stated that the UNP has very strong and intelligent people who have been cornered, adding that true UNPers are being harassed and cast aside. Karunanayake added that there are some within the party attempting to destroy it and noted that the people placed their faith in the UNP, not individuals who cannot secure votes.
