602g of drugs worth 7 million seized at BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A passenger has been arrested at the Bandaranayake International Airport while attempting to smuggle drugs into the country. The Police Narcotics Bureau said the suspect arrived in the island from Chennai India. 320g of heroin, 52g of ICE, and 230g of Hashish worth Rs 7 million were found hidden in his travel bag. Investigations are still underway.
