COLOMBO (News 1^st) – Post Master General Rohana Abeyrathne has requested all staff members who are currently engaged in the strike action to report to work immediately.

Issuing a communique the Department of Government Information says that the Ministry of Postal Services has accepted the requests put forward by postal workers as valid demands.

The Communique adds that a proper solution to the stated demands will be meted out in the coming month.

The strike action which was launched citing two major demands continues for its 6th consecutive day today.
