COLOMBO (News 1^st) – The Sri Lankan Men’s relay team won the Gold Medal in the 4×400, while the women’s team clinched the Bronze in the same event at the 18^th Asian Junior Athletic Championships (AJAC).

The 18^th Junior Athletics Championship is currently being held in Gifu, Japan.

The Sri Lankan 4×400 Men’s team consisting of Pabasara Nikhu, Pasindu Kodikara, Ravishka Indrajith and Aruna Darshana was able to clock 3 minutes and 8.70 seconds in the race.

The Women’s team consisting of Ishara Adhithya, Sachini Divyanjali, Dilshi Kumarasinghe and Amasha De Silva won the bronze recording the time of 3 minutes and 45.16 seconds.
