COLOMBO (News 1st) – Shashikala Siriwardene has been appointed as the captain of Sri Lanka women’s squad for the Asia Cup T20. The announcement was made during a media briefing held in Colombo.
Team Coach Hemantha Devapriya, Head of Selection Committee Rasamjali de Alwis and Team Manager Waruna Waragoda were among those present at the media briefing.
The tournament which is to be held in Malaysia will commence on June 3rd and conclude on the 10th of June.
Chamari Attapattu has been ruled out of the tournament due to health issues.
